Let's Talk Laundry!

Laundry. We all have it, we all do it quite often, right?

But did you know it could be compromising your health?
Read on to learn more and how you can get FREE dryer balls!

Synthetic fragrances in laundry detergents, fabric softeners, and or dryer sheets may smell great but, they contain neurotoxins, carcinogenics, hormone disrupting, and narcotic like chemicals? Don't believe me? Google it!

Companies use synthetic chemicals in their laundry products to create their signature scents.

You know the ones!

These scents are designed to stick to your clothing and emit themselves throughout the day in hopes that you'll get addicted to them and buy more. Just watch a laundry commercial, it's NOT about how clean your clothes are, it's about how GOOD they smell.

Since your skin is your largest organ any chemicals good or bad that you put on your skin or clothing will be absorbed into your bloodstream. As a chemically sensitive person I have become extremely aware of these "fragrances" and synthetic chemicals & want to help educate others of their dangers.

Synthetic fragrances can cause: headaches, dull your sense of smell - permanently damaging your oral factory senses, respiratory issues like asthma and allergies, infertility issues, nerve & nerve tissue damage, and they can wear down your immune system making you prone to getting sick. Each and every day, all day long, you are breathing in these chemicals. They may be the cause of your health issues and you don't even know it!

"Fragrance" can mean any combination of over 62,0000 chemicals that have never been tested by the EPA. They were grandfathered into the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and are not required to be disclosed on labels. These synthetic fragrances are not just in laundry products, they're also in most air fresheners, candles, perfumes, colognes, toiletries, & cleaning products! Companies that manufacture synthetic fragrances are not required to prove their safety or evaluate them for health risks.

So what can you do?

•Take control of  your health and educate yourself!
Go to EWG.org and read what ingredients to avoid and read your labels. Check out the products you have in your home. If the ingredients aren't clearly listed, don't use it or buy it! Trustworthy companies will disclose ALL ingredients.

•Ditch products in your home that contain synthetic ingredients, especially "fragrance". Check your household cleaning products, room sprays and personal care products. Whether you ditch them all at once or slowly start to replace them one by one you improving the health of your family right now and for future generations. According to experts in epigenetics, what we do to our bodies NOW will have an affect on the DNA of 3 generations to come!

•Switch to natural/organic products. Instead of dryer sheets or fabric softeners use wool dryer balls. Wool dryer balls shorten drying time, soften and fluff fabric, and reduce static naturally without harmful chemicals. Use them with essential oils like Lavender or Lemongrass which both smell amazing and can actually help improve your moods among other things.
